Vacation Internships

Vacation internships funded by the DTP (paused during COVID but now resuming) are available during the summer and offer the opportunity for undergraduates to gain first hand experience of research over an 8-10 week period.

In 2023, as well as funding internal candidates, DTP funds will be used to expand a pilot scheme which has run this year (summer 2022), targeting students from outside Cambridge, as part of our efforts to improve access for the most talented students from under-represented groups in postgraduate research, including from lower socio-economic backgrounds, certain ethnic groups, and those from less or non-research-intensive institutions.
