Industrial CASE (ICASE)
ICASE students are fully-registered Cambridge PhD students, with access to all the training, development and support opportunities in their Department, their School, and across the wider University.
In addition, each ICASE student has an industrial supervisor at the co-sponsor organisation, who works closely with their University PhD supervisor. As a minimum requirement, each ICASE student must undertake a fully-funded 3-month placement with the industrial partner, allowing the student to gain real-world commercial experience as part of their studies. However, industrial partners often also provide additional benefits, which vary according to the project - these could include an allowance to attend conferences, access to specialist equipment, etc.
