This is a cross-CDT workshop for small groups which brings people together from across the range of EPSRC CDTs running in Cambridge.

Date: 27 July 2020 (10.00-12.00)

In this workshop we will explore what we mean by global agility and why intercultural competence is a skillset which is highly valued by employers

You will have the opportunity to consider your experience of studying in the STEM environment in Cambridge both before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the ways in which it might prepare you for a VUCA future – one that is Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous.

While the global pandemic continues, it might be helpful to pause for a moment and reflect on what you are learning and where opportunities are for the future. We will talk about the challenges you may be experiencing, how to define the skills you have developed to overcome these challenges, as well as how to express this when communicating with future employers.

This is an interactive workshop in Zoom which will use breakout rooms for small and larger group discussions. There will be a 10 minute break mid-session.

Group size: 12-18
